Wednesday Evenings from 6:15 - 8:45 p.m.Trinity-First United Methodist Church invites you to take part in our highly successful Wednesday Christian education night. It promises to strengthen your faith, draw us closer as a church family, and expand our ministry in the El Paso/Juarez community. Wednesday Night Light has something for everyone!
Long Term Bible Studies
Uses the four phases of DISCIPLE as the basis of study. The four phases are DISCIPLE 1 -- Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study; DISCIPLE 2 -- In the Word, Into the World; DISCIPLE 3 -- Remember Who You Are; and DISCIPLE 4 -- Under the Tree of Life. In addition, two other long-term courses are available: Christian Believer and Jesus in the Gospels. Courses range in length from 30 to 34 weeks. All of the courses require completion of DISCIPLE 1 for enrollment. Courses are offered on demand and facilitator availability.Short Courses
A series of short courses is offered each year to address a wide range of interests and concerns. Courses range in length from 8 to 13 weeks.
Adult Sunday School Classes
Wesley-Tower Fellowship
A class of primarily retired adults who are active in study in settings other than Sunday school. They use the International Lesson Series in a lecture format.Mizpah
Working and retired persons who are active in many areas of the church and community. The class uses a lecture format based on the International Lesson Series.New Life
A group for couples and singles of a wide range of ages who use a variety of Bible-based lessons to encourage spiritual growth and discussion.A New Unnamed Class
Founded by members of the Friends in Christ, Upper Room Bible Study and the pastor’s class that met in the church parlor early in 2005. This class studies contemporary issues using a Bible-based format.Sojourners Group
Young couples with or without children. A variety of topics are discussed which relate to the Bible.Quaestors
A round-table discussion among retired adults using the International Lesson Series and the King James Version of the Bible.Wedding Band
Made up of adults, married and single, who are active in service to others. The International Lesson Series is the basis for lecture-type lessons.Millennium Group
Advanced Christian topics for adults. The class is open to all ages; married, single, and divorced. Bible study and contemporary issues are discussed.
